Three Tips for Making the Most of Your Walker Solvent Soak

Even with Walker Solvent’s great price, it’s still worth knowing how to get the most out of each gallon. We’d mentioned being able to use it by the bowlful, and while the principle remains true, we suggest showing slightly more restraint.

Find a container sized to match the hair system.

You want your hair system to fill all the room of your container’s bottom. A too-big container requires extra solvent you must use to soak the unit in.

Flip the wig upside down.

With the base facing up, you’re guaranteed the solvent hits all the adhesive. It could obstruct the remover from reaching the adhesive if the base sits down against the container.

Keep the unit submerged while removing the adhesive.

Wearing gloves, work the adhesive off in the solvent. This hands-on technique lets you know if the base still needs a little more time to soak. Various factors play into the time it takes for adhesives to break down: adhesive type, climate, duration of wear, etc.
